Who we are
Louby Lion Books is a small independent publisher of word search puzzle books, run as a sole trader in the United Kingdom. For anything related to your personal information, you can reach us at loubylionbooks@gmail.com.
What we collect, and why
Bonus Puzzle Pack signup: if you request our free puzzle pack, we collect your email address so you can download the pack and so we can send you occasional emails about new releases. Signups are handled by Netlify Forms (our website host).
Personalised Puzzle Gift orders: when you order a personalised gift, we collect your name, email address, country, and the details you choose to share about the gift recipient — such as first names, interests, places, and memories. We collect this for one purpose only: to create your personalised puzzle pack. We deliberately do not ask for home addresses, full dates of birth, or medical information, and we ask you not to include them.
Payment: payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
What we never do
We never sell your information, never publish or share the details you submit about a gift recipient, and never use them for anything other than creating your order and communicating with you about it.
Where your information lives
Order form answers are stored securely by Tally (our form provider, based in the EU) and in our email inbox while your order is being created. Payment records are held by Stripe. Email addresses from the Bonus Puzzle Pack signup are stored by Netlify Forms, our website host. Our website itself stores nothing about you — it has no accounts, no tracking cookies, and no analytics.
How long we keep order information
We keep the details you submit only for as long as they are needed to create and deliver your order, including the included correction round. Completed order submissions are deleted from our form provider within 3 months of delivery. Basic purchase records (who bought what, and when) are kept as required for UK tax purposes.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email loubylionbooks@gmail.com and we will act on your request promptly. If you believe we have handled your information badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Information about other people
Personalised gifts naturally involve details about someone other than the buyer. By submitting an order you confirm you have permission to share those details, and we treat them with the same care as your own: used once, for your gift, then deleted on the schedule above.
